“As per NAP, security personnel from registered government institutions can be deployed,” Colonel Amjad Iqbal said while addressing a press conference in Lahore.

The Rangers officer said the paramilitary force will jointly work with the Punjab Police and strict action will be taken against those found violating the rules.

“We will take strict action against private security guards wearing uniforms designated for army, civil or military institutions,” he said.

Sharing the details regarding recent raids conducted by the paramilitary force under the ongoing military Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, the Rangers official said at least four Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) affiliated terrorists were killed during an operation in which a large cache of arms was also seized.
