PDMA issues precautionary measures for expected heat wave

KARACHI (APP): The Provincial Disaster Management Authority - Sindh has issued precautionary measures with regard to the expected heat wave.
The Provincial Health Department to be on alert and heatstroke management centres to be established at all major hospitals/ rural health units and private hospitals, said a statement on Thursday.
Related emergency medicines to be readily available besides, enhanced and proactive coordination with emergency ambulance services operating in Karachi city, other urban centres and rural areas.
Helpline will also be established to facilitate and responds timely.
Awareness campaign to be run on electronic and print media to educate populace in heatstroke mitigation measures.
