Kashmir’s economy being hurt under a planned manner: KCCI

ISLAMABAD: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has said that volatile situation is being created since 2014 flooding to suppress the economic growth of the territory.
The KCCI in a statement, issued in Srinagar, said, "Since 2014 flooding, situations are being created on one pretext or another to disrupt the peace, particularly in the Valley, which result in the death, maiming and blinding of a large number of people of all age groups," KMS reported.
The Chamber said that uncalled for political statements and ill-timed decisions taken by the puppet regime at the highest level aggravated the already complex situation in the territory.
"The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry considers it its bounden duty to warn the powers that the above referred acts of omission and commission are continuously crippling the economic sectors of the Valley such Tourism, Handicrafts, transport, general trade, horticulture and not to speak of education and health sectors," said the statement.
"KCC believes it is being done under a premeditated plan to suppress the economic growth of in Kashmir a whole." The Chamber also condemned the recent killing of innocent youth and expressed its solidarity with the bereaved families. (APP)
