ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (N) government which is calling the shots in the capital Islamabad for last 4 years seems to in fix regarding the Panama Case verdict and the subsequent elections.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that there is no proposal to hold premature elections.
Talking to the media after chairing a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Electoral Reforms on Thursday, he said that it is prerogative of the prime minister to announce premature elections. “The prime minister cannot be pressurized in this regard.”
“We will see when the Panama Leaks verdict will be announced. Each verdict is remembered for centuries,” he maintained.
He said that the electoral reforms package will be prepared before the budget.
“The sub-committee will hold meetings on daily basis,” he announced.
