Chinese businessmen appreciate FPCCI role in economic development

LAHORE: Chinese businessmen have appreciated the role of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in economic development of Pakistan.
The remarks were given by head of a Chinese business delegation and Vice President Handan Chamber of Commerce and Industry HU Zengmin during a visit to FPCCI's regional office here, a spokesman told the media on Thursday.
HU Zengmin said that economic globalisation and regional integration had provided enormous opportunities for further cooperation between China and Pakistan.
Both countries are strongly associated together and their mutual relations are based on solid foundations. He said that Pakistan is an ideal destination for foreign investment and top priority of the Chinese investors.
Manzoor-ul-Haq, regional chairman and vice president of FPCCI, said that China is one of important trade partners of Pakistan and there was dire need for trade balancing between the two countries.
He highlighted various investment and joint venture opportunities, saying that joint ventures with Chinese enterprises would facilitate transfer of technology as Pakistan direly needs upgrading value-addition process.
He said that trade delegations not only enhance trade and economic ties between the two countries but are also a source of getting essence of investment opportunities. (APP)
