ISLAMABAD: The FIA’s Cyber-Crime Cell on Thursday arrested a man whoblackmailed women and tried to extort money from them in Karachi.

According to the Deputy Director, FIA’s Cyber-Crime Cell, the man, who wasarrested after a raid in New Karachi, met women on matrimonial websites andafter befriending them, he used to meet them in person on the promise thathe was interested in marrying them.

He told, the accused was then taking their illicit videos and was laterblackmailing them with the videos.

He tried to extort Rs. 200,000 from the woman who filed the complaintagainst him, the Deputy Director told.

He managed to get Rs. 30,000 from the woman and through its investigation,the FIA found that he had extorted Rs. 600,000 from another woman, he added.
