LAHORE – *PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif said that his son Hamza Shehbazwill lead Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming rally, if he is arrested.*

Media reports have suggested that Shahbaz Sharif including Saad Rafique andAyaz Sadiq may be arrested today.

Earlier Shahbaz Sharif said that “We will give Nawaz Sharif a big welcome,”said Shehbaz Sharif. “Nawaz and Maryam’s arrest would not affect party’selection campaign.”

Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are returning to Pakistan a few days after anaccountability court sentenced them to jail for 10 and 7 years respectivelyin the Avenfield properties case.

The PML-N President said over 300 workers of his party have been arrestedsince July 11.

Mr Sharif said that he does not want confrontation with any stateinstitution.

The dictators had imposed martial laws in Pakistan in their individualcapacity and the majority of soldiers had opposed their actions, he added.

“Every institution should work in its domain,” Mr Sharif said. “Godwillingly, we are going to win the upcoming elections.”
