KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that fresh currencynotes for the public would be issued from May 20 till May 31st.
The central bank announced that currency notes for Eid would be availablevia a text messaging service which would be operational from May 19th.
To book currency notes, citizens will have to send their NIC number andbank branch identification number to 8877; identification numbers forE-branches would be available on the websites of private banks and SBP.
The central bank has set a limit of one booking per CNIC number sent from amobile phone number and multiple CNIC numbers will not be accepted from thesame mobile phone number.

New notes will be available from 1,700 branches of various banks across 142cities, Express News reported.
Citizens would be able to fetch a maximum of three bundles of Rs10, and onebundle each of Rs50 and Rs100 notes. Muslims across Pakistan are set tocelebrate Eid in the first week of June and traditionally fresh currencynotes are handed out to children as present on the eve of Eid.
