Hosted by India, in the One Day World Cup, English pacer Mark Wood astonished the cricket world by delivering the ball at a speed of 154 kilometers per hour against Bangladesh just the other day.
This delivery by Mark Wood was considered the fastest ball of this mega event. Previously, this record was held by Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf, who had bowled at a speed of 150 kilometers per hour against the Netherlands.
Among other fast bowlers in the One Day World Cup, Gerald Coetzee bowled at 149 kilometers per hour, Mitchell Starc at 147, and Lockie Ferguson at 147.
