Pakistan and Qatar have a longstanding bilateral relationship. Earlier this year, former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and expressed appreciation for Qatar's continued support of Pakistan's development initiatives.
The Emir welcomed PM Shehbaz to Qatar and showed a keen interest in enhancing economic ties between Qatar and Pakistan while reaffirming Qatar's commitment to supporting Pakistan's development agenda.
