OpEd- PM Khan's personal initiative, Pakistan Citizen Portal makes unprecedented achievement in history of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Citizens' Portal established by Prime Minister Imran Khan is facilitating the people from all nooks and corners of the country and it has become the most popular platform for redressing complaints in a short span of eleven months.

Through the portal, all citizens can convey their complaints to high officials and Prime Minister's Office makes sure that these complaints are resolved.

A grievance redressal report by all ministries regarding complaints received against them is being sent to the Prime Minister on regular basis. The report entails the volume of complaints redressed and also the feedback provided by the people in detail.

The number of registered citizens on Pakistan Citizen Portal has reached to 1.173 million. So far, 12,33,000 complaints have been received, of which 1057334 resolved, a redressal rate of 86 percent. Of these, 92 percent were redressed at the federal level and 88 percent in Punjab. Likewise, 87 percent were remedied in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 79 percent in Balochistan while only forty percent were rectified in Sindh.

Shahab Haider, a resident of Islamabad, told that his issue of possession letter of a plot in Islamabad was resolved only after launching a complaint at Pakistan Citizen Portal.

A woman from Lahore thanked the Prime Minister as her abducted daughter was recovered after she launched a complaint at Pakistan Citizen Portal. A DIG of Police was removed from his position in that case.

A woman from Akora Khattak said a swindler was arrested after their complaint at Pakistan Citizen Portal, who had taken money from their family but did not provide piece of land as promised.

A citizen named Shahid said he and his fellow colleagues in Saudi Arabia received assistance by Pakistan embassy after their lodging of complaint at the portal.

A woman from Bahawalpur said a man was arrested who had been harassing her for the last two years, only when she lodged a complaint at the citizen portal.

A female worker of Health Department said she registered a complaint at Pakistan Citizen Portal to get proper facilitation at the workplace. The department provided her the facilitation.

This initiative by Prime Minister Imran Khan is not only facilitating the citizens across the country but it is also a major step towards the creation of a welfare state on the pattern of Madinah as envisioned by him.
