Qandeel Baloch murder case: Arrest warrants issued for Mufti Abdul Qavi
MUZAFFARABAD: A judicial magistrate has issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Mufti Abdul Qavi in Qandeel Baloch murder case.

According to details, Magistrate Pervez Khan issued the warrants over not presenting himself for the inquiry of the case.

The judge issued the warrants on the plea of the case's investigation officer Noor Akbar and ordered the Police to arrest the cleric and produce him in the court.

Meanwhile, Qavi said that he has already acquired interim bail in the murder case.

While speaking to SAMAA TV, the cleric said that he will be available to the investigators for probe.

Internet sensation Qandeel Baloch took social media by storm as she posted on her Facebook page at least three selfies of herself with Mufti Abdul Qavi.

One of the pictures shows Qandeel playfully posing for the selfie with Mufti Qavi’s signature hat on her head, while latter is holding a cell phone to his ear. Another picture shows Qandeel posing with Mufti Qavi, sitting next to him.

Talking to media, Qandeel claimed that Mufti Qavi had invited her to meet him in a hotel for Iftar.

She said that Mufti Qavi had been persuading her since quite some time to meet, adding that the religious scholar had publicly professed his likeness for her.
