As per details, the process of polling began from 8 am that would continue till 5 Pm without any interruption. 98 polling stations have been set up for the 136,500 registered voters in this constituency while 47 polling stations out of 98 have been declared sensitive.
4 thousands police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order situation during by-poll in PK-8 while Pak Army contingent have been deployed inside and outside 24 polling stations to avoid any unpleasant situation.
Collectively 15 candidates are participating in PK-8 by-polls but there is neck to neck contest being expected among PTI, PML-N and JUI (F) candidates.
It is also worthy to mention here that the seat fell vacant over the death of PML-N MPA Arbab Akbar Hayat.
