Suicide attack in Kabul kills 13

KABUL: In Afghanistan, at least 13 people were killed and 31 wounded when a suicide attacker blew himself up outside a government ministry in Kabul today.

Health ministry spokesman Waheed Majroh said, the employees were leaving their offices early for Ramadan.

Meanwhile, at least four gunmen were killed after they attacked the Education Department in Jalalabad, in Nangarhar today.

Nangarhar provincial governor's spokesman also said security forces seized a vehicle loaded with explosives outside the education department after the attack.

However, health officials later confirmed 10 people were taken to a local hospital after being wounded in the attack.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. APP/AFP
