Protest demonstrations in Occupied Kashmir against Indian NIA raids

In occupied Kashmir, a protest demonstration was held at Chhatabal in Srinagar against the raids and crackdowns by Indian forces in the territory on Monday.
The protest was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Ittehadul Muslmeen.
Addressing the protesters, Hurriyet leader Masroor Abbas Ansari said that many youth had been killed during the military operations. He said that recent killing of student in Shopian was the proof that Indian forces had a free licence to kill innocent Kashmiris.
He also condemned the raids of India’s National Investigation Agency on the houses of Hurriyet leaders and members of business community.
Meanwhile Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed serious concern over the plight of political prisoners lodged in various jails and demanded their immediate release.
The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, scores of Kashmiri prisoners continue to languish in various prisons across India despite court orders regarding their release.
