ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): Allotment of houses to non-locals in IHK to change demography of Kashmir
The occupation authorities have admitted that non-state subjects have been allotted houses in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK).
The admission was made by puppet Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, while replying to a question in the so-called Kashmir Assembly.
The allotment has been made even in violation of the territory's own state subject laws, which say that no outsider can purchase or own land in the territory, KMS reported.
Nirmal Singh said that the authorities had constructed 150 dwelling units for non-state subjects at Rajiv Nagar in IHK. The houses were built under the Valmiki Ambedkar Awas Yojna (VAMBAY), he added.
Independent legislator Engineer Abdul Rasheed asked the administration to carry out a survey to identify non-state subjects in the territory. "Action must be initiated against non-state subjects," he demanded.
