Sharif family hires four lawyers for Panama case defence in SC

The ruling Sharif family has chalked out a strategy to defend themselves in the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the Panama papers case.

Sharif family has hired four lawyers to submit a reply to the Supreme Court in the Panama Papers report formulated by Joint Investigation Team.

Khawaja Harris will head the team of lawyers, which also includes Amjad Pervez, considered an expert on cases related to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

According to sources privy to developments, the JIT report includes a list of 28 cases against the Sharif family in NAB.

Moreover, two cases are in the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and as many with the Federal Investigation Agency, according to the JIT report submitted by the six-member team on Monday.
