Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch acquitted in kidnapping and murder case

KARACHI – A session court in Karachi on Tuesday acquitted Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch in a criminal case for want of evidence.

Uzair Baloch, who was booked in kidnapping and murder case of a citizen, was brought to the court in tight security.

During the hearing, defence lawyer argued that no eyewitness appeared before the court. The police found the dead body and didn’t identify the slain person, he added.

The counsel further said that police nominated his client in the case on political grounds, who didn’t commit it.

Earlier, a local court also acquitted Lyari gang warlord Uzair Baloch in two cases of police encounter and attempted murder.

Additional District and Sessions Judge South in the jail complex heard two cases of police encounter and attempted murder against Lyari gang warlord Uzair Baloch.

The court granted Uzair Baloch’s plea for acquittal in two cases as prosecution could not present evidence against Uzair Baloch.
