COAS General Qamar Bajwa promotes a young Army Officer in a unique way

KARACHI – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa promoted a young Army officer in a unique way.
COAS General Bajwa was on a visit to Thar Coal project on Wednesday.
Second Lieutenant Asad was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in a unique way.
General Bajwa promoted the officer and asked him to bring the rank of Lieutenant. As the officer was not in possession of ranks, so the army chief asked him to give a pen. Then COAS Bajwa himself drew the ranks of Lieutenant on Asad’s uniform.
Talking on the occasion, the top military commander said that the internal security situation of Pakistan has largely improved paving way for foreign investment. “We will continue to play our part in ensuring a secure environment for business and entrepreneurship in Pakistan by both local and foreign investors,” he added.
