IOK Special Status: Delhi Court dismisses petition challenging article 370

ISLAMABAD: Dismissing a plea against Article 370 of Indian Constitution, the Delhi High Court has upheld the validity of the Article that guarantees special status to Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
A division bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Jayant Nath while dismissing a Public Interest Litigation seeking scrapping of Article 370 held that "Nothing survives in it as the Supreme Court has already dismissed a petition on the issue," KMS reported.
On March 16, 2016 after hearing the parties the puppet regime of occupied Kashmir, Indian government and the petitioner - the court had reserved its decision on the petition.
A 22-year-old girl, Kumari Vijayalakshmi Jha, had approached the Delhi High Court for abrogation of Article 370. (APP)
