Earthquake jolts several parts of Pakistan including capital Islamabad

*ISLAMABAD – Medium intensity **Earthquake jolts several parts of Pakistanincluding capital Islamabad, private media has reported.*

*An earthquake on Thursday jolt**ed several parts of the country, no lossof life or property has been reported thus far.*

According to the meteorological office (MET), the earthquake was felt inIslamabad, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Mardan, Abbottabad, Swat, Upper Dir,Malakand, Rawlakot, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mansehra, Mohmand, Bajaur andparts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with the intensity of 5.2 on theRichter scale.

Feeling the jolts, the residents of the aforesaid areas left their housesand offices and started reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba.

The epicenter of the quake was Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan, 251meters deep in the ground.
