RAWALPINDI – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday held an 8 hoursbriefing in the ISI Headquarters.
He visited the headquarters of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) where hewas briefed on strategic intelligence and national security.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army StaffGeneral Qamar Bajwa and ISI Director General Lt-Gen Naveed Mukhtar receivedthe prime minister, who was accompanied by his cabinet ministers.
“PM laid floral wreath at Yadgare Shuhada and offered Fateha. PM wasbriefed in details on various strategic intelligence and national securitymatters at the premier agency,” said the statement.
Imran, while praising the premier intelligence agency, said the governmentand the people firmly support Pakistan’s armed forces and intelligenceagencies.
“PM lauded contributions of ISI towards national security especially in theongoing counter terrorism effort. PM said that ISI is our first line ofdefence and stands out as best intelligence agency of the world.
“PM said that government and people of Pakistan firmly stand behind theirarmed forces and intelligence agencies, and greatly acknowledge theunprecedented achievements of these institutions,” it added.
