ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister and ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that after winning thegeneral elections our foreign policy would be based on peace and stability.
Addressing a gathering of diplomats from several countries in Islamabad onSaturday, the PML-N President said that Pakistan believes in a policy ofpeace within and abroad and has always join hands with the world communityin peace efforts in the region and across the world. “Pakistan’s foreignpolicy is a policy of durable peace and stability,” he added.
The chief minister said that peaceful relations with neighboring countriesin the region is our priority, adding that Pakistan wants resolution ofKashmir dispute according to the aspiration of the Kashmiri people andUnited Nations resolutions.
Shehbaz went on to say that Pakistan was playing role of front line statein war against terror, adding that the success in war on terror waspossible due to the unity and cooperation of civil-military leadership.
“The whole world is witness to our sacrifices and tremendous achievementsin eradicating this menace,” the PML-N president said and added today sPakistan is a progressive, tolerant and peaceful country.
He said: “After coming to power the incumbent government took many toughdecisions to overcome challenges confronting the nation.”
Shehbaz further said that a number of development projects are underwayunder the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
