In Shikarpur, Sindh, a troubling incident has occurred where five policemen, accompanied by their weapons, were seemingly 'abducted' by dacoits in the katcha region.
The situation unfolded when a group of dacoits launched an assault on a police check post situated in the Kot Shahoo locality within the katcha area. These assailants subsequently 'captured' five police officers, including SHO Kot Shahu, Mehboob Brohi, and Head Muhrar. The dacoits swiftly fled towards the katcha region with their captives.
In response to this alarming development, a significant deployment of police forces was promptly mobilized to initiate an operation aimed at rescuing the 'abducted' police officers.
It's important to note that the Caretaker government of Sindh had been conducting operations against dacoits in the katcha area with the intention of restoring law and order.
This incident was not an isolated one, as it followed a prior occurrence in the katcha area of Kandhkot, where five police officers and their weapons were reportedly taken by dacoits.
Four of these officials were subsequently released, while one, identified as Mumtaz Tanori from Shikarpur, remained in captivity.
