ATC announces verdict on Sanam Javed and Female PTI workers bail case

In Lahore, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) has issued an order for the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed Khan and other PTI members involved in the May 9 violence case, as reported by ARY News.

According to the details, the ATC has granted bail to Sanam Javed Khan and other PTI leaders, which include Afshan Tariq, Ali Hassan, Umair, and Faisal Akhtar. Their release is subject to surety bonds of Rs 0.1 million each. However, the bail request of PTI leader Robina Jameel was denied by the ATC.

Prior to this, PTI women activists, who had been released from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, were re-arrested shortly after their release. The police arrested these PTI activists and transported them from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.

This re-arrest occurred because, even though the PTI women activists had been released from jail, their families were reluctant to take them home due to fears of further arrest. It's important to note that an ATC had previously ordered the release of PTI activist Sanam Javed Khan and other PTI members in the Jinnah House attack case.

The court approved the bail requests of several PTI activists, including Sanam Javed Khan, Robina Jameel, Afshan Tariq, Ashma Shuja, Shah Bano, Faisal Akhtar, Qasim, Ali Hasan, and Hussain Qadri.
