Apple iPhone 15 hit with yet another major problem

Numerous iPhone users are encountering a perplexing issue where their phones unexpectedly shut down during the night. This problem transcends the confines of the latest iPhone 15 models and has a broader impact across various devices.

The genesis of this issue was brought to the fore by a Reddit user who awoke to their iPhone's alarm, only to be prompted for their SIM card's PIN to unlock the device. Remarkably, Face ID remained nonfunctional until the PIN code was input.

Further investigation into the battery statistics revealed a conspicuous gap between 3 and 7 AM, strongly implying that the phone had powered down and initiated a reboot during this timeframe.

Notably, this troublesome scenario isn't tethered to a specific beta version, as most of the afflicted users were utilizing iOS 17.0.3. What's even more concerning is that it extends its reach beyond the iPhone 15 models, impacting older devices such as the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Mini, affecting users on a global scale.

Theorists have postulated various explanations for this issue. One conjecture posits that Apple's servers may have triggered a widespread shutdown request, although this does not elucidate the abrupt and spontaneous reboot. A more plausible conjecture implicates a kernel panic or overheating as the potential culprits, leading to a reboot and an ensuing boot loop.
