Pervaiz Musharraf treason case: Supreme Court issues new directions to former President

ISLAMABAD - The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has issued new directions in the Pervaiz Musharraf treason case.

CJP on Thursday directed former president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf to record his statement under Section 342 of the criminal procedure code in the treason case against him.

The Chief Justice’s remarks came as he headed a bench hearing the case related to National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), passed by Musharraf in 2007.

As the hearing went under way, Musharraf’s lawyer Akhtar Shah submitted a reply regarding the former president’s return to the country
