In the state's case against terrorism, the Anti-Terrorism Court has granted exemption from appearance and rejected the bail applications of PML-N leaders Maryam Aurangzeb and Javaid Latif.
The hearing of the case was conducted by ATC duty judge Arshad Javaid. A request for exemption from the appearance of Maryam Aurangzeb and Javaid Latif, made by their lawyer, was submitted and rejected by the court. The court also rejected the bail pleas of the accused.
Subsequently, the court completed the hearing, adjourning it until November 25 for the testimony of co-accused. It's noteworthy that in a case related to seditious remarks, the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court had sought a response from the prosecution on Maryam Aurangzeb's plea for exemption. The Green Town police have filed a case against the League leaders.
