CTD makes big breakthrough in Punjab

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Punjab has apprehended five individuals suspected of terrorism in intelligence-based operations across Pakpattan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, and Sahiwal. CTD officials reported a total of 179 such operations, resulting in the arrest of five terrorists.
Among those detained was a significant Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander named Nadeem, apprehended in Pakpattan. The arrested individuals, identified as Nadeem, Shehbaz, Khalid, Madni, and Salman, were allegedly plotting attacks on sensitive installations, as per CTD officials.
Additionally, the operations led to the confiscation of explosive material, five detonators, two hand grenades, two improvised explosive devices, weapons, and cash. Throughout the week, a total of 769 combing operations were carried out, resulting in the arrest of 82 suspects. During these operations, 31,250 individuals were interrogated, according to a CTD spokesperson.
