[OpEd]: Modi beating war drums while half of India is crippling under poverty line

ISLAMABAD - Despite of the fact that more than 60% of Indian population is living below the poverty line; the incumbent Indian government is spending billions of dollars on weapons import, up gradation of military equipment and arm production. The United States is one of the leading arm exporters to India which destabilizes the balance of power in the region.

Washington is envious of China’s increasing influence in the region and wants India to work as its alley against China. India must realize that peace and stability in the region is in its best interest. Trump and Modi believes in the strategy of military misadventures. The racist Modi government believes in anti-Pakistan doctrine.

Pakistan is a responsible and peace loving country, and believes in the peaceful relations with all its neighboring countries. Our multi layered security mechanism makes our nuclear program one of the safest in the world, said defence expert Dr Mohammad Khan.

We have maintained strict and secure mechanism for safety of the nuclear weapons. We believe in the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. Pakistan nuclear program is unique and safe on every level and under highly sophisticated nuclear program no power on the earth can dare to do any misadventure with Pakistan.

The real purpose of the nuclear technology is to protect our motherland from malicious agendas and aggressive behaviors of the enemies. We have always endorsed any initiative taken for peace and stability in the region.

Military Modernization and importing weapons of mass destruction will disturb the balance of power and poses a great threat to regional peace and stability. The nuclear program of Pakistan is secured with a sophisticated command and control mechanism. The international community has folded a blind eye on Indian hostility towards Pakistan. We are peace loving nation, however, we are not oblivious of Indian nefarious designs against Pakistan.

The International community is silent over Indian aggression towards Pakistan. The US is the largest weapon exporter to India and US tilt towards India for its own agendas further escalate the situation in the region. The global powers must pressurize India to stop its passion for war.”
