Punjab Assembly condemns execution of JI leader in Bangladesh

LAHORE: A condemning resolution has been submitted in Punjab Assembly here at today against the execution of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Motiur Rahman Nizami in Bangladesh.
As per details, the resolution was submitted by Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmood ur Rashid. While condemning the execution of JI leader, opposition leader demanded government to raise the issue of executions in Bangladesh before international human right organizations.
He said in his resolution that JI leader Motiur Rahman Nizami was executed over his love for Pakistan while it is condemnable to award death sentence to his political rivals through so called tribunals.
Mian Mahmood ur Rashid argued in his resolution that death sentence of JI leaders in Bangladesh is a violation of human rights as well as agreement that was signed among Bangladesh, India and Pakistan in 1974.
He demanded federal government to take the matter to international human rights organization because it is the violation of human rights and executions are judicial murder.
