HYDERABAD: (APP) Foreign hand suspected in Railway Track Blast

 

Deputy Inspector General of Police Hyderabad Khadim Hussain Rind has said that the possibility of the foreign hands cannot be ruled out in the blast occurred on main railway track near Tando Jam causing derailment of nine carriages of a freight train.

 

The enemies of Pakistan always engaged in destabilizing the country and creating unrest among the countrymen, however, their nefarious designs will be foiled by law enforcement agencies with the cooperation of people, DIG said this while talking to media after attending the reception of Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Industry here on Tuesday.

 

He said the preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that two explosive devices were fixed at the track which uprooted it major portion. The Police also found a pamphlet of an unknown organization from the spot, he added.

 

In the past, such types of pamphlets from the spots of blasts at the railways track were also found, he said adding that the recent incident took place after a long period.

 

Majority of the culprits who involved in such type of blasts were already booked by the Police, he added.

 

However, he said that all those who involved in such type of blasts got training from the enemies and who do not want stability, progress and prosperity in Pakistan.

 

Responding to a question about the issuance of threatening letters from unknown extortionists, the DIG admitted and said Police were engaged to find out these outlaws.

 

He called upon those who received such threats for extortion to adopt proper procedure and lodge complaints at the concerned Police station for prompt action against criminals.

 

The department has started a project of establishing facilitation centres with objectives to address the minor issues of the citizens under one roof. Efforts are being made to sensitize all officers to have close coordination with the public, he added.

 

Earlier, addressing the members of the chamber, the DIG Hyderabad assured that all genuine demands of traders and business community would be fulfilled and they would be provided due security so that they could carry out their business activities without any fear.

 

The President Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Industry Akram Ansari in his welcome address highlighted the issues being faced by the small traders and industrialists of Hyderabad.
