Army will be deployed in PK-8 by-election

PESHAWAR: By-poll in PK-8 constituency is going to be held tomorrow while Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to deploy Army in by-election. Pak Army contingent would be deployed inside and outside of polling stations to avoid any unpleasant situation.
As per details, the decision of Army deployment in by-election has been taken by ECP over the proposal of District Returning Officer to ensure the law and order situation during polling.
Polling would start from 8 a.m which would continue till 5 p.m without any interruption while those voters would be allowed to cast their votes who would be present in the premises of polling station after the end of polling time.
All the arrangement have been finalized by Provincial Election Commission regarding the conduction of by-poll while strict security arrangement have been made by local police to maintain the law and order situation.
Public holiday has been declared by local administration in the constituency. Around 136,508 registered voters would cast their votes in by-election of PK-8 constituency.
