LAHORE, June 11 (APP): PBIT and Chinese company CheezMall sign MoU
The Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) here on Saturday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chinese company Cheezmall (Pvt) Limited.
PBIT Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ms Amena Cheema and Cheezmall CEO Aurangzaib Khan signed the MoU document on behalf of their respective sides.
Prior to the signing of the memorandum, Aurangzaib Khan praised the PBIT and the government of Punjab for its focus on creating a business-friendly environment in Pakistan.
He added that good governance along with a much-improved security situation had made Pakistan a pole of attraction for foreign investors, above all China.
On this occasion, Aurangzaib khan said that Cheezmall was a premier online shopping service provider company based in Shanghai. The company, which has already established an office in Islamabad, was looking to expand their operations in Pakistan, he said, asserting that Cheezmall was particularly interested in collaborating with PBIT on various e-commerce projects.
While, Ms. Cheema briefed the delegation on the tremendous potential that existed regarding e-commerce in Pakistan. She noted that a large number of Pakistanis had access to internet and that foreign companies should take advantage of the opportunities created by this development.
