AJK Elections : Peaceful Polls, A challenge for Law Enforcement Agencies

MIRPUR (AJK), July 10 (APP): Commissioner Mirpur Division Raja
Amjad Pervez Ali Khan on Sunday directed the Deputy Commissioners of
all the three districts in Mirpur division to initiate every
possible stringent measures to maintain peace and order to ensure
holding of the schedule July 21 AJK general elections in free, fair
and transparent manner.
Those found violating the code of conduct and the law during
ongoing electioneering should be taken to task without any
discrimination, he ordered.
The Commissioner Amjad Perveiz Ali Khan also asked the
political parties and the candidates in the elections arena to
strictly abide by the code of conduct to help the election
commission and the law enforcement institutions in holding the
scheduled AJK legislative assembly elections in a free and fair and
peaceful environment.
It may be added that after the recent bloody clashes between
rival groups in Haveili and Bagh districts in AJK, that claimed two
human lives besides injuring of over a dozen persons from the either
side on Saturday, the administrations of all the ten districts in
AJK have put on alert to deal with any eventuality besides to
maintain complete peace and order in their respective districts.
