Govt considering to abolish taxes on imported inputs: Dastgir

Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir expressed the confidence that with the historic package of Rs180bn and improvement in law and order energy situation, the exporters would show good results.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad this evening he said this package will remain in force for next 18 months from January 2017 to June 2018.
However, after six months, only those exporters will be eligible to enjoy the incentives who an increase 10 per cent in their exports.
He said the industry of the country is already enjoying zero load-shedding and after import of LNG, the supply of gas will also improve to the industry.
He said the government is considering abolishing taxes on imported inputs used for export production.
