Pakistan batting coach, Younis Khan, has expressed his desire to use the facilities at Karachi High-Performance Center and work with Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Shan Masood, Imran Butt, and Abid Ali. Younis believes that the batsmen still have a lot to offer to the national team, and they need to work on a few things to get back to their best. ------------------------------

Younis said that during his off time, he would like to avail the opportunity to correct the techniques, tactics, and strategies of batsmen to help them contribute to the success of the national team. Younis said that after he and Misbah retired from international cricket, Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq were expected to take the reins, but they failed to capitalize on their opportunities.
Younis said that the current crop of batsmen needs a few adjustments, and once they rectify them, they will perform for Pakistan for several years.
Younis appreciated the work of Mohammad Yousuf in the National High-Performance Center and credited him for the success of Faheem Ashraf’s brilliant batting form. He added that he would like to work with Mohammad Yousuf to improve the batsmen even further. ------------------------------

Younis said that it is difficult to improve the techniques of batsmen while on tour, as there is limited time, and too much work is needed in other aspects. He believes the offseason is the perfect time to work on their technique.
He said that the team management wants the team to improve even further and be ranked amongst the best teams in the world. He said that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done even after an impressive series win against South Africa.
