NACTA issues terror threat alert

Islamabad: The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) on Thursday issued a threat alert for possible terrorist attack in Lahore ahead of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally.
The NACTA said that banned militant outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is planning to carry out an attack on December 13, the day when PDM will hold public gathering in Lahore.
The department has not named any specific city, which could be target of the attack, in the alert.
However, it said that the terrorists could target Lahore. NACTA has called for for stringent security measures to avert any untoward situation.
