US welcomes ouster of PM Imran Khan through the democratic and constitutional process

The United States says it values its long-standing cooperation with Pakistan.
Commenting on Imran Khan's ouster in a vote of no-confidence in the National Assembly, a State Department spokesperson said the United States has always viewed a prosperous and democratic Pakistan as critical to its interests.
The spokesperson said Pakistan has democratic processes outlined in its constitution to determine its leadership and the government.
He was of the view that all political parties will adhere to the rule of law, good governance, and democratic principles.
