State Bank of Pakistan appoints new deputy governor

KARACHI: A notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, on Tuesday, announced the appointment of Jameel Ahmed as the Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The new Deputy Governor was appointed for three years, the notification stated.
Ahmed is a veteran banker with over 20 years of experience in banking services. He served as Director of Banking Supervision of State Bank Of Pakistan and has been its Executive Director of Financial Resources Management. He served as an Executive Director of State Bank Of Pakistan since July 2, 2006.
