UAE expresses keen desire to enhance ties with PTI government in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister of UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan onTuesday phoned Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and congratulated himon assuming the office and wished him success for his new assignment.

He also expressed the desire to work closely with the leadership ofPakistan, to revive the traditional exemplary relations that existedbetween Pakistan and UAE, a press release issued by the Ministry of ForeignAffairs here said.

While thanking his counterpart, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshiemphasized the need to forge mutually beneficial relations with UAE in allareas.

Paying tribute to Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as the architectof Pakistan-UAE relations, he observed that UAE was Pakistan’s mostimportant trade and investment partner in the Gulf.
