NEW DELHI – Chinese Navy nuclear submarines deployment in Indian Ocean hasemerged out to be a nightmare for INDIA.

Although China has not deployed any nuclear submarine in the Indian OceanRegion (IOR) since September 2017, it’s deployment has been haunting India.

“No Chinese submarine has been deployed by the Chinese in the Indian Oceansince the last 18 months.

The Chinese have been sending regular patrols of their nuclear and dieselelectric submarines since the last five years,” they said.

The development has taken place when India has upgraded its capabilitythrough its fleet of Boeing P-8I and other anti-submarine warfarecapabilities to detect and track Chinese vessels passing through IOR.

In the last five years, the Chinese have deployed more than a dozen oftheir nuclear and conventional submarines in and around IOR.

The Chinese have also been claiming that the Indian Ocean cannot be claimedsolely by India just because of its name but then they claim sovereignrights over the South China Sea.
