OTTAWA – A park named after Pakistan’s founder Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad AliJinnah for the first time is due to be inaugurated in Canada on May 12(Saturday).
Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Canada Tariq Azim Khan will inaugurate thepark, located in Tim Sale, Northern Lights, South Pointe, Winnipeg,Manitoba.
It is the Pakistani community which deserves credit for their efforts innaming the park after Quaid-i-Azam on a foreign land.
The government of Manitoba province has invited the Pakistani HighCommissioner to open the park, while the Pakistani diaspora in Winnipegwill also be welcomed on the event.
During the visit, Tariq Azam Khan will meet the Lt Governor of Manitoba,Minister of Families, Minister of Trade and Education.
