Pervaiz Musharraf declared proclaimed offender by court

ISLAMABAD: While declaring former military ruler Pervaiz Musharraf as proclaim offender in high treason case, Special Court has issued directives to publish ads in national newspapers in this regard.

As per details, the hearing of high treason case was carried out today under three member bench headed by Justice Mian Mazhar Alim. Former President’s guarantor Rashid Qureshi and Joint Secretary Interior Mubarik Khan also appeared before court during hearing.

Warrant report was submitted in Special court during the hearing by FIA DG stating that raids were conducted on the residence of accused in Karachi and Lahore for his arrest but he was not present in home and FIA came to know that he had left abroad.

In the light of FIA report, Special court declared Musharraf as fugitive and ordered to publish ads in media terming him proclaimed offender and wanted.

Court further said in his remarks to publish ads in daily Urdu and English newspaper and directed to place these ads outside his residence in Lahore and Islamabad.

While giving times of 30 days to appear before court, Special Court sought details of his all properties.
