Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his support for Israel during a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday. Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) to convey this message, reaffirming India's solidarity with Israel during what he described as their "difficult hour."
In his Twitter post, Modi emphasized India's strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. He made it clear that the people of India stood firmly behind Israel in this matter.
Before this statement, Modi had already expressed deep shock at the casualties in Israel. The situation had escalated with Israel initiating air raids in the Gaza Strip in response to a barrage of rockets launched into Israel by Hamas, followed by a land and air invasion.
Netanyahu declared that Israel was facing a critical moment, and subsequent air strikes in Gaza had tragically resulted in the loss of 770 lives.
