Former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was speaking in an interview with private news channel ARY News.
He stated that the four major political parties should sit together and determine a common path. Everyone will have to step out of politics and think about the country's interests. Nawaz Sharif and the PTI Chairman, among others, need to step out of politics at this time; this is not the time for politics.
Regarding the meeting with Nawaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi explained that during the meeting, he expressed his opinion in front of Nawaz Sharif. He stated that his opinion is that everyone should come together; otherwise, the country will not progress. When asked if he told Nawaz Sharif to sit down with the PTI Chairman, he responded that he had expressed his opinion in front of Nawaz Sharif.
Nawaz Sharif did not respond because not every matter requires a response. He reiterated his respect for Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and emphasized that Nawaz Sharif did not claim to come back and resolve issues. There was no discussion about forming a new party with Nawaz Sharif.
Today, the agenda is to address the economy, the country, and the people's issues. In these extraordinary circumstances, extraordinary leadership is required. Have the PTI and PML-N improved the economy while in government? Pakistan's three major parties have not given anything to the people.
