Another embarrassing blow for Indian BCCI from English skipper

Ben Stokes is expected to be absent from Tuesday's match against Bangladesh. However, England captain Jos Buttler's primary concern revolves around the Dharamsala outfield, which he believes is suboptimal for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 games.
The condition of the outfield has been questioned by former England cricketer and current Afghanistan head coach Jonathan Trott, particularly after spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman narrowly avoided injury by hurting his knee on the sandy surface.
Although the International Cricket Council (ICC) has granted the outfield an "average" rating, permitting it to host World Cup matches, concerns regarding player safety during fielding persist.
Jos Buttler expressed his dissatisfaction, stating, "In my own opinion, it's subpar. When you have to be cautious about diving or fielding due to the surface, it contradicts our team's ethos."
He further added, "So, the outfield's current condition is far from ideal, but we won't use it as an excuse; instead, we'll adapt to it."
