LHC Judges new seniority list issued

The new list of Lahore High Court Judges Thursday stating the ranks from number one to 42 based on seniority was compiled and issued.
According to the details, the seniority of the Chief Justice and three other judges remained constant while the seniority of the remaining 39 increased in the list.
The total number of judges in the Lahore High Court is 42, while the number of vacancies in the High Court is 18. The new list of seniority of judges was compiled after the alleviation of Justice Shahid Waheed to the Supreme Court.
Chief Justice High Court Muhammad Ameer Bhatti maintained his status of being the senior most on the list. He is followed by Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan is the second and Justice Shujaat Ali Khan has been ranked third on the list.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi came to fourth place in seniority after an increase in his seniority rank.
Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan came on the fifth rank with an increase in his seniority. The seniority of Justice Alia Neelam also increased by one rank and she came sixth in the seniority of judges.
Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh's seniority also increased, he came to the seventh position and will be included in the Administrative Committee of Lahore High Court.
Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Masood Jahangir is eighth in the seniority of judges, Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan is ninth while Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza was ranked 10th, Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi was ranked 11th, and Justice Shahid Jameel Khan was ranked 12th.
The seniority of Justice Faisal Zaman Khan also increased, he came to the 13th position in the seniority rank list. Justice Masood Abid Naqvi is ranked 14th, Justice Shahid Karim is ranked 15th, Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf is ranked 16th while Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal came 17th, Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry 18th, Justice Muhammad Sajid Mehmood Sethi came 19th.
Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar was ranked 20th, Justice Asjad Javed Ghural 21st in the seniority list of judges while Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh came 22nd, Justice Jawad Hasan 23rd, Justice Muzamil Akhtar Shabbir came 24th.
Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz was ranked 25th, Justice Anwar-ul-Haq Pannu was ranked 26th whereas Justice Farooq Haider was ranked 27th, Justice Muhammad Waheed Khan was ranked 28th, and Justice Risal Hasan Syed was ranked 29th in the list of senior judges
Justice Asim Hafeez came on the 30th rank, Justice Sadiq Mahmood Khurram 31st, Justice Shakeel Ahmed came 32nd and Justice Safdar Saleem Shahid came on the 33rd rank.
Justice Nadeem Arshad came on the 34th rank in the list and Justice Tariq Nadeem came 35th in seniority of judges.
The 36th rank was taken by Justice Muhammad Amjad Rafique while Justice Abid Hussain took the 37th and Justice Anwar Hussain 38th.
Justice Ali Zia Bajwa's seniority also increased by one rank taking him to the 39th position.
Justice Sultan Tanveer was ranked 40th, Justice Mohammad Raza Qureshi was ranked 41st and Justice Raheel Kamran Shaikh was ranked 42nd in the list.
