Incumbent parliament passed record 133 laws: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister, Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the incumbent parliament is the first one after 1977 which passed the most number of one hundred and thirty three laws.
In an interview with PTV on Thursday, she pointed out that most of these laws were related to improving human development indicators.
Highlighting the steps taken to achieve Sustainable Development Goals, the Information Minister said our Parliament is the first one which established a secretariat on the SDGs in 2014.
She said special units on SDGs have been set up in the Ministry for Planning.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the parliamentary task force having representation of all the political parties is taking the ownership in achieving the development targets.
She said these task forces on the SDGs also exist in the provincial assemblies.APP
