IHC serves notices to PEMRA, Information Ministry on Nawaz Sharif's speeches

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) again served notices to PEMRA and Ministry of Information, Broadcasting in a case related to the controversial speeches by former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Justice Aamer Farooq of IHC heard the case filed by Makhdoom Niaz Inqlabi related to the controversial speeches of former prime minister related to the judiciary.

The Press Counsel of Pakistan (PCP) had already submitted its reply to the court. However, reply from Pakistan Electronic Media and Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) could not submit its reply.

On which, the court again served notices to both the respondents to submit reply and adjourned hearing of the case till June 4. APP/AFP
